Fourth Annual Wiener Dog Races

BIGGEST LITTLE RACE
Join us for the one race where size doesn’t matter. Four-legged competitors of a markedly different breed will step into the starting gate this Father’s Day. Come watch adorable dachshunds compete in a 30-yard dash for cash prizes and their spot in the Wiener’s Circle.
Track Apron doors will open at 3pm. No pari-mutuel wagering will be available on these exhibition races.
WIENER DOG RACE SCHEDULE
The Wiener Dog Races take place between our regularly scheduled Thoroughbred races. The first four heats are preliminary races and the top three dogs move to the final race. All times listed below are approximate times and may change due to live horse race post times.
Heat 1: 3:30pm
Heat 2: 3:45pm
Heat 3: 4:28pm
Heat 4: 4:59pm
Heat 5 – Final: 5:53pm
COMPETITOR PRIZE ALLOCATION
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $150
4th – 6th Place: $50
7th – 12th Place: $25
All other official competitors will receive a goody bag.
Bag Chairs and umbrellas are allowed on the track apron. *Bag chairs are subject to search. No outside food or drink will be permitted on property.

For safety reasons, we are limiting the dogs on property to only the official race day competitors. Prairie Meadows will not allow dogs, cats, or any other pets in the building or on the Track Apron. Service animals will be permitted. See Prairie Gold Rewards for details.
