Employee Spotlight - Lachhu
Meet Lachhu, a dedicated Porter who has been a valued member of the Prairie Meadows team since 2017. Over the years, Lachhu has worked across several departments, including the Paddock, AJ's Steakhouse, and Banquets, making him a versatile and well-rounded team player.
Originally from Nepal, Lachhu moved to the United States in 2012, settling in Atlanta, Georgia, before making Des Moines his home. He was introduced to Prairie Meadows by his brother, who shared the great opportunities available year-round, and Lachhu hasn’t looked back since.
What he enjoys most about working at Prairie Meadows is the positive environment, the people, and the strong sense of teamwork. He appreciates the supportive atmosphere that encourages collaboration and the safe, welcoming work environment. In addition to that, he’s grateful for the excellent benefits that come with the job.
Working at Prairie Meadows has allowed Lachhu to grow both personally and professionally. He has developed skills in customer service, teamwork, and communication, and takes great pride in helping and respecting others.
When Lachhu isn’t at work, he enjoys cooking, playing soccer, and has a true passion for ping pong. A fun fact about him: he can walk on his hands, a talent he mastered during his childhood!
