Prairie Meadows Announces Ribbon Cutting for New Poker Room

ALTOONA, IA August, 11 2026 –  Prairie Meadows is celebrating the opening of its new Poker Room with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 16, from 11am to 1pm. The new Poker Room is located on the fourth floor near the Racing Center and will be open to the public, ages 21 and older, beginning Wednesday, August 19.

The new space offers an enhanced poker experience with 11 poker tables, nine 65-inch TVs, a full-service bar and a private area dedicated to table games. The updated Poker Room provides guests with a comfortable, energetic setting to enjoy poker and other gaming experiences at Prairie Meadows.

The September 16 ribbon-cutting event will celebrate the new space and its expanded amenities. Guests 21 and older are invited to stop by during the event to see the new Poker Room and experience the updated space.
