World-Renowned Artist May Pang Presents Exclusive
Photograph Collection of John Lennon at Prairie Meadows
Altoona, IA. (Friday, July 28, 2023) – Prairie Meadows announced today they will hold a two-day art exhibition featuring May Pang’s candid photos of John Lennon. Few people knew John Lennon as intimately as May Pang. Pang was John Lennon’s lover during his “Lost Weekend” era which lasted 18 months during late 1973 and 1975. During this highly creative time for Lennon, Pang took candid photos of Lennon in a comfortable, relaxed environment. A collection of these private photographs will be on display at The Meadows Event Center on Tuesday, August 22 and Wednesday, August 23 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free to the public and all works are available to purchase.
May Pang will be in attendance at Prairie Meadows, meeting customers and telling stories behind these amazing limited-edition photographs of John Lennon.
“We are excited to launch this historical, exclusive photograph collection of John Lennon and May’s life and work together. We are honored to be able to bring these iconic photos to John’s fans and provide fans a rare opportunity to see John Lennon in a new light through the lens of someone who knew him well,” said Gary Palmer, CEO and President of Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino.
