Employee Spotlight - Tom
We are proud to spotlight Security Officer Tom F., a dedicated member of the Prairie Meadows Rapid Response Team, who has been serving with distinction for over three years. Tom enjoys his role in ensuring the safety of our patrons, guests, and employees, and works tirelessly to keep Prairie Meadows secure. Additionally, he supports other law enforcement agencies who work on our property, collaborating to maintain a safe environment.
Before joining the Prairie Meadows team, Tom brought a wealth of experience from his previous law enforcement role in Colorado. His background includes serving as a county deputy, working with a sheriff's department, and experience working for campus police. He also holds a degree in criminal justice and spent many years as a rancher and cowboy, managing and building ranches across several western states. His diverse background gives him a unique skill set and perspective on security and community service, making him an invaluable asset to Prairie Meadows.
What Tom enjoys most about his role at Prairie Meadows is the variety each day brings. He finds fulfillment in helping people and deeply appreciates the gratitude that employees and guests express for his service. The variety of situations he faces allows him to grow both personally and professionally, especially as he works in an environment rich with diverse cultures. Tom feels the diverse and dynamic nature of Prairie Meadows sets it apart from other places Tom has worked. He has learned to navigate through stressful situations with calm and confidence, a direct result of the top-notch training and support Prairie Meadows continuously provides to him.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, training his dogs for hunting, and spending time with his family. He’s also passionate about teaching his kids taekwondo and hunting skills and passing down his knowledge from the traditions that mean so much to him.
