Diana Bishop Ewing joined the Prairie Meadows Board in November 2010. A graduate of Southeast Polk High School and Northwest Missouri State University, Diana hails from a sixth generation family making their home in eastern Polk County. Diana is currently the Midwest Development Officer for Mosaic, a national organization providing advocacy for more than 3,500 people with intellectual disabilities. Previously, she worked at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, at Iowa Special Olympics, and she was executive vice president of the Altoona Area Chamber of Commerce.

Active in her community, Diana has served on the Central Iowa Wellness Council; City of Des Moines Affordable Housing and Homeless Partnership Board; Family Development for Self-Sufficiency, State Council; Polk County Health Services Board of Directors; Association for Retarded People/Polk County, Board of Directors; The Homestead Board of Directors; and the Northeast Polk County Economic Development Board. She has also been chair of the Altoona Action Council of United Way.

Diana has received the following numerous recognitions: Global Iowa Award (Iowa Council of International Understanding); Take Pride in Iowa Schools Award (Southeast Polk Schools); Special Recognition Award (City of Altoona, Iowa); and Honorary Lifetime Membership Award (Altoona Area Chamber of Commerce). She is also a recipient of the National Outreach Award for Special Olympics presented by Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Diana is married to David Ewing and they have two children, Zachary and Jessica.
