Prairie Meadows Benefits
Following is a summary of benefits available to full-time employees of Prairie Meadows.
Two insurance plans through Blue Cross/Blue Shield from which to choose
$10 Copays for office visits for both plans
Prescription drug plan included in both plans
Dental insurance through Delta Dental at no cost to the employee (eligible family members can be covered for an additional cost)
100% coverage for checkups and cleanings
Orthodontia is offered for dependent children
Eye exam, lenses or contacts and frames coverage through Avesis insurance plan
Paid Time Off
Vacation: Full time employees accrue vacation hours each pay period based on years of service. Vacation leave begins accruing on the first day of employment at Prairie Meadows and become vested upon 6 months of employment.

20 + years 5 weeks
Holidays: Regular full time employees who have completed the introductory period are eligible for the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, plus (5) Floating Holidays
Sick Leave: Sick leave is accrued at 2 hours each pay period to a maximum of 160 hours. Sick leave begins accruing on the first day of employment at Prairie Meadows and become vested upon 6 months of employment.
Tuition Assistance: Eligible after 6 months of full time employment. Prairie Meadows will reimburse 90% of the tuition, including lab fees, to not exceed $5250 per calendar year for job related courses.

25% discount at Triple Crown Eatery, Café at the Meadows, AJ’s Steakhouse and Champions buffet for the employee and up to 10 additional guests (excluding alcohol purchases)

15% discount on Prairie Meadows Hotel room rates depending on availability

Additional discretionary match to 401K is possible based on company performance
New employees are automatically enrolled after 1 year of service provided they have worked 1000 hours and are at least 21 years of age.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Limited purpose flexible spending account for up to $2500 yearly on a pretax basis to pay for health, dental and vision expenses not covered by insurance
Dependent care reimbursement account for up to $5000 yearly on a pretax basis to pay for daycare expenses
Company provided life insurance of 1 times the employee’s base salary
Supplemental life insurance:
- 1-5 times annual base salary for employee
- Up to $150,000 for spouse life insurance
- Up to $10,000 for eligible children
Short-term and long-term disability coverage at no cost to the employee
Short-term disability of 60% of monthly pay for 26 weeks
Long-term disability of 60% of monthly pay after short-term has been exhausted
